Visual Art

Visual art education includes the study and practice of traditional media (drawing, painting, sculpting and ceramics) and is offered in middle/junior and senior high schools throughout the district. Elementary classroom teachers and art specialists provide instruction in visual art or use visual art in support of other subject areas. Visual art curriculum is designed to ensure students meet the California State Visual Art Content Standards by creating, responding, presenting and connecting through the study of art history and studio experiences.
