IEP Help Camp will cover help with IEPs and SEAS. Help Camp is for previously trained staff, it is not a training.

Getting Started with Boardmaker Studio
November 1st   2:00-4:00pm
Learn how to use the Boardmaker Studio toolbar, create Page Based and Table Based Templates, and leave with onscreen activities that you can start using right away
   
November 7th  2:00-4:00pm
Learn how to set up the Read & Write extension for Google Chrome, use different features such as word prediction, talk & type, text-to-speech and more.
November 9th  2:00-4:00pm
Learn about core vocabulary and how it can be applied to students with and without AAC systems, how to introduce, teach and model core vocabulary within your classroom, and leave with a year of core words that includes a set for each month, target sheets and more.
Learn the strategies to support students with reading and writing challenges. 
Participants will learn how to create a Google Classroom, invite students to a
class, create and review assignments.

Go beyond Bookshare to build students access to digital texts across a variety of

WJ IV Achievement Trainings

This training session will provide an overview of the Woodcock-Johnson IV and the components of an evidence-based academic assessment.   A brief discussion of the history, development and technical qualities will be provided, but the primary emphasis will be on administration, scoring and interpretation and report writing of the WJ IV ACH. Participants will gain the knowledge necessary to begin administration of the WJ IV ACH and assessment interpretation and report writing. WJ IV kits can be checked out after the training by a designated person at each site. Register according to the high school in your cluster. You will need your laptop or iPad.

SEAS Training Information and Dates Online IEP Program Training

New staff are required to attend electronic IEP system, SEAS.  The district’s security policy prohibits the sharing of passwords which allows access to personal/private information.

ONGOING TRAININGS  

You are required to bring the following:

    • a paper copy of a student’s IEP
    • Common Core State grade level Standards 
    • CCCs (Common Core Connectors) if you are working with Mod/Sev students
    • any curriculum maps, etc. you may have

Copies of handouts discussed in the training will be on the Sp Ed. Website-Procedure Manual-Forms/Links-Chapter 5-Quality IEP handouts. You can follow along with the handouts on-line or if you prefer, bring copies with you.

The PowerPoint will be provided during training. If you have a laptop and can bring it that may be helpful.
