Movement and Academics – Making the Connection for Kinesthetic Learners

Participants will learn:

  • ·         the science behind the Active Learning Movement
  • ·         why it is vital to implement movement into the learning process
  • ·         the physical, cognitive and behavioral benefits of including movement
  • ·         practical techniques and activities to weave movement into classroom academics
  • ·         how to meet the needs of every student in your class through the kinesthetic modality
  • ·         new skills that can be used in your classroom immediately
  • ·         innovative strategies being implemented in classrooms across the country

This training is open to all district staff including general education teachers, special education staff, related services staff, physical educators and administrators.  We highly encourage administrators to attend because their support is instrumental in this work.  Site teams and grade level leads are encouraged.

District staff must register on ERO, ( For assistance with ERO, contact Naomi Lewis Limited funding for substitutes is available with pre-approval.  Contact for additional information or to request sub coverage.
