Free outdoor Yoga classes for staff - this summer at the Ed Center

As part of our District Wellness Initiative, San Diego Unified and VEBA a are offering free opportunities for district employees to stay active throughout the summer.

From June – August 2018, the Ed Center Wellness Committee invites fellow staff to join them weekly for Outdoor Yoga Class on Tuesdays (12-12:30 and 12:30 – 1:00 p.m). The classes take place at the Ed Center on the grassy lawn beside Annex 6 & the train mural.

Workout attire is strongly recommend, but not required. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat.  This is a great chance to be active and the instructors accommodates for different levels of experience. You are welcome to come to one or both sessions.

All district employees are welcome, but space is limited. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by emailing SDUSD Wellness Supervisor, Kate McDevitt at kmcdevitt@sandi.net.

If your school or central office site is interested in hosting similar employee fitness classes at your location, please coordinate with your site’s designated School Wellness Coordinator. Your School Wellness Coordinator can submit a request through CA Schools VEBA for fitness classes. Your site must guarantee a minimum of six district employees in attendance for each class.
