RE:                  2017-2018 Site Administrator Recruitment Process

Are you thinking of making a change in your assignment for the 2017-2018 school year? This memo provides information related to the recruitment and selection of Priority Consideration candidates for any known and predicted site administrator vacancies for the 2017-2018 school year.

  1. Principal and Vice Principal vacancies will be posted on the Human Resource employment website at the beginning of each month for ten (10) days.
  2. NEW FOR 2017-2018. Applications will no longer be accepted through EdJoin, rather, positions will be posted using the District’s new application management system. Candidates will need to complete a new applicant profile the first time they log in.   3. Positions will be posted by site for the contractual timeframe.
    1. Candidates will be required to apply online for each posting. A resume and letter of interest will be required for each posting.
    2. Candidates will be invited to interview, at Level II or III, based on the qualifications discussed during the Level I interview and as demonstrated in their individual applications

Level I

Area Superintendents, Site Administrator** HR Facilitator

Level II (optional)

Area Superintendent, Site Administrator, HR Facilitator

Level III

Community Panel, Area Superintendent, HR Facilitator

*Candidates may be selected to proceed to the next level of interview based on qualifications discussed in Item 4  above.

**Principals may elect to observe the Level 1 interview if candidates are being interviewed for a vacant assignment at the school site.

4.       Monthly Level I Interviews will be held.

a.       The monthly schedule will be posted for AASD members to view. Click here to view this schedule.

b.      An AASD member will only need to participate in one Level I interview during the months of March- December 2017. Once an AASD member has interviewed at Level I, AASD members will not be required to interview for each position they are interested in obtaining.

5.        Candidates will consistently be allowed to review the questions and site criteria 30 minutes prior to an interview (all levels).
