MANDATORY 

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Effective January 1, 2005, state law requires that the district provide sexual harassment prevention training to all managers, supervisors and confidential employees on an ongoing basis and it is renewable every two years.

On October 9, 2012 the SDUSD Board of Education approved an On-Line Sexual Harassment ten month pilot program for Sexual Harassment prevention training. By law, the training must be two hours in length.  Please understand that the district must ensure compliance with the law.

Arrangements have been made with the Human Resource Services Division, Legal Services office in conjunction with, Business & Legal Resources (BLR), to provide a highly effective, interactive, and informative On-Line Training program that meets the specific requirements of the law.  New managers, supervisors, and confidential employees are required to login to the “On-Line” Training within six months of hire/promotion.  For those who previously attended a training session, you will receive a renewal notice.  You are required by law to be trained and are encouraged to become compliant as soon as possible.

New and returning users must use the customized link below to create a new account or return to their existing account in order to view the login screen:

NEW USERS follow these few simple steps: Click Sign up on the top right hand corner > select the Group button San Diego USD Employees > click continue > enter the required fields > create a login name, enter district e-mail address and create a password.

 
If this doesn’t work call or e-mail technical support through BLR. You must complete the course in order to receive a confirmation e-mail and certificate.  (Note: They will have to add your account to the SDUSD group.  You cannot proceed until your account is added.)

 

RETURNING USERS enter your login name or e-mail and password > click sign in on the bottom left hand corner> click on course title Stop Sexual Harassment Training > click start module to begin.

Be sure to retain your login name and password for future training sessions.

This course has several videos and streaming is extremely important to successfully view the course. Make sure the latest version of AdobeFlash Player is downloaded http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and that the computer cache is cleared. For best viewing results, use Firefox or Google Chrome browser if possible.

Employees must take the two hour mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training during their regular working hours.
