The Finance Division, in alignment with the district mission and goals, works to enhance and foster the institutional effectiveness of the San Diego Unified School District.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the financial functions of the district. The CFO directs and coordinates the departments of
- Office of the Controller
- Financial Planning and Development
- Budget Development
- Financial Planning, Monitoring and Accountability
These departments manage all aspects of district financial operations including general accounting, fiscal control, accounts payable, budget development, position control, payroll and grant coordination. The Finance Division develops information and recommends policies and procedures for strategic short-term and long-term financial management and planning.
