How To: Managing ActiveSync Partnerships From Outlook Web Access


This document provides instructions for configuring Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync partnerships for mobile devices from Outlook Web Access (OWA).  

Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync allows for 10 mobile devices to be connected to a user's Exchange account.  If more than 10 devices are registered, Exchange will not allow for additional devices to be registered and user will not be able to setup or synchronize email on the mobile device.  User may receive an email stating: Error with your new mobile phone partnership.  You have 10 phone partnerships out of the maximum allowed 10 partnerships.

To remove registered mobile device partnerships from the Exchange system, do the following:

  1. Login to district email account (OWA).
  2. Click Options in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select See All Options from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on Phone from the main menu.
  5. Click the Mobile Phones tab.
  6. Select old devices from the list and click the X icon to remove selected device.  Repeat this step to remove additional devices.
  7. After removing all old devices from the list, restart mobile device and attempt to setup exchange account.

It may take a few minutes to fully sync all your messages to your inbox.
