CAHSEE Udate

Hello CAHSEE Site Test Coordinators,

Yesterday at the Nuts & Bolts meeting someone asked if the bubble for “IEP” or “Section 504 Plan” in Box 13a must be hand-grid on the answer document.  The answer is YES- you must hand-grid whether the student has an IEP or 504.

Please contact me if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

CAHSEE Update

(If you are not the CAHSEE Coordinator for your school, please forward this to the person who is and email Donna Havelin the new Coordinator's name.)

Those of you who attended the today's CAHSEE Nuts & Bolts meeting:  Attached are the "job aids" to assist in your Site Coordinator training for the March administration.

For those of you who didn't attend today's Nuts & Bolts session:
-  I will be assisting Erin through the CAHSEE & STAR testing windows.

-  Please pick-up your Secure & Non-Secure CAHSEE materials & materials from today's Nuts & Bolts on TUESDAY, March 4, at Annex 10, beginning 7:30 a.m.

-  Be sure you thoroughly understand your responsibilities for the March administration as your AYP is based on your Class of 2010 students' results.  Your AYP can be negatively impacted by:
  >  security breaches by teachers, proctors, &/or scribes
   >  submission of more than 1 answer sheet for a Class of 2010 student
   >  incorrect Score Codes
   >  incorrect demographic information
   >  Class of 2010 students absent for the March administration moving before the May administration
   >  etc.

REMEMBER:
-  Test Security is your primary responsibility.

-  You MUST submit a SCORABLE answer sheet for ALL Class of 2010 students ENROLLED on March 11 including:
  >  ALL CAPA students
   >  ALL other Special Ed Students
   >  ALL 504 Plan Students

  >  ALL EL students
   >  ALL students absent either or both days
   >  ALL students who refused to enter the testing area &/or refused to answer any questions

-  Class of 2010 students absent for 1 or both parts of the March administration MUST be tested in May to make your school's required 95% tested Participation Rate (overall & for all numerically significant subgroups!

Please feel free to email questions about any of the attachments &/or Nuts & Bolts materials.  I look forward to working with you!
