The Association of African American Educators will award nine scholarships, including the "Bertha O. Pendleton" $1000.00 scholarship to graduating high school seniors on Saturday, June 14, 2003, at the Alpha Kappa Alpha/Alpha Phi Alpha Scholarship Breakfast Dance. (More than 40 scholarships will be awarded because of organizational collaboration). The event will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Hazard Center at 8:00 a.m. The attire is "dressy" and the cost is $25.00.
