Teacher Layoffs Avoided
Mid-year cuts, savings credited

Superintendent Alan Bersin and San Diego Education Association (SDEA) President Terry Pesta announced April 30 that the district will rescind the layoff notices issued earlier in the year to 1,487 classroom teachers (1,166 full-time equivalent positions).
