Base Academic Performance Index (API)
According
to the recently released 2002 Base Academic Performance Index (API),
San Diego City Schools continue to make significant increases in student
achievement. "The 2002 Base results were calculated using a new
formula that more accurately reflects how our students are doing in
meeting state standards," said Sally Bennett, assistant director,
Standards, Assessment and Accountability.
