Hall Of Fame

•	Kroc seventh grader Edgar Alejandro Carrillo and Kearny School of Business tenth grader Debbie Zacarias are recipients of TODOS: Mathematics for All student awards. Edgar and Debbie were two of only three students in the county honored for achievement in mathematics.
•	Special Education itinerant nurses Linda Vergara and Tania Ware have been selected to receive the Mariel C. Furlong Award for Making a Difference from the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network. They are being recognized in the category of School District Nurse for their contributions in making our schools safer for students with food allergies and anaphylaxis.
•	The Walter J. Zable chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame selected Point Loma High School coach Mike Hastings as Coach of the Year. Football players Jelani Burton and Kevin O’Mary of Mira Mesa, Brooks Dougherty of University City and Johnny Nguyen of Mission Bay high schools were honored for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.
