• The final “Cookies with Carl” for the 2005-06 school year will be held Wednesday, May 31, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Henry High School. All certificated and classified employees are invited to come by and chat with Superintendent Cohn as well as to hear what others are saying. If you have something you would like to share with the superintendent or ask him, please plan to attend.
• After 40 years, McKinley P.E. Teacher and 2004-05 Teacher of the Year at the Elementary Level Mike Miller, is retiring. A barbeque dinner celebration will held in Mike’s honor on Friday, June 16, from 4 to 7 p.m., at McKinley Elementary. RSVP by Thursday, June 1. • The San Diego High Educational Complex is saying good-bye to teachers Jon Icardo, Ken Williams and Chris Hamer, at a retirement celebration on Thursday, June 8, at the Mission Valley Resort, 875 Hotel Circle South, San Diego, 92108.
