Interview with Geno Flores
New SDCS Deputy Superintendent talks to Staff Bulletin.
Geno Flores officially joined San Diego City Schools on October 18 as the new deputy superintendent. A lifelong teacher and learner, Flores has more than 29 years experience in education, 20 of those years as a teacher and coach. He also served on numerous advisory boards at both the state and national level. In the late 1990's, Flores worked with Superintendent Carl Cohn in the Long Beach Unified School District as Director of Accountability in charge of the Research and Evaluation Unit. Flores led the district's High School Reform program.

businesses, government agencies and military commands, as well as

Memorial for Henrietta Rose
There was a special graveside
ceremony November 16th at Mt. Hope Cemetery to honor Henrietta Rose,
who taught in the San Diego school system for 45 years.
