Education Center Begins Electrical Renovations
If you work at or visit the Education Center (Ed. Center), you will notice several construction activities over the coming months:
| |
SDG&E is under-grounding electric lines along Campus Drive and constructing a new small, brick structure north of Printing Services to house a new meter and main switch. |
| |
The Ed. Center will also undergo a major electrical renovation during Winter Break (December 18, 2004, to January 2, 2005) to update the 50-year-old system. Preparatory construction will take place in the coming months; staff will be updated through email and posters. The Ed. Center will have NO POWER during Winter Break. With the exception of designated employees, staff will NOT be able to access the building during this time. There will be a few temporary Internet shutdowns at the beginning and end of Winter Break. More details will follow. |
Maintenance & Operations has been working closely with impacted groups that perform critical operations, specifically IT, Payroll and School Police, who will continue to work over the break. If you have questions or concerns about these projects or the Winter Break power outage, please call Rob Ortenzo at (858) 573-5858.
