District Notification of School Events
Notify the district Communications Department at (619) 725-5578 when:
- A crisis such as a fire or serious student incident occurs at your school site. Notify Communications immediately even when the police or fire department are not involved.
- Media arrive at your school site unexpectedly. The office can provide guidance and advise the site staff about how to handle this type of situation.
- You invite the media to attend a school event.
- You have media-related questions.
- Your school has an exciting upcoming event or activity.
Include the Communications Department in your distribution list for the following:
- Letters to parents following a serious situation at the school (e.g., fire, violence, etc.).
- School newsletters.
- Media advisories or news releases.
