The budget situation has required the district to consolidate and streamline the 2008 Summer School program as follows:
Summer School will not be offered for general education students in grades 1-5. Teachers who applied for elementary positions have been notified. A letter to parents about the change will be mailed from the central office this week.
Summer School will be offered for qualifying middle-level and high school general education students.
As required by law, Summer School will be offered at a limited number of elementary and selected middle-level and high schools to special education students that have “extended school year” marked on their IEPs.
Classified employees who want to be considered for employment at the selected Summer School sites must submit a classified ‘bubble sheet’ to Human Resources, Room 1241, Ed Center, by Friday, April 4. With questions, call Ester Victorio at (619) 725-8114.
For information or with questions about the Summer School program, contact Rhonda Archard at rarchard@sandi.net or (619) 725-7147.
