Certificated, Classified Employees Apply Now for Winter Intersession
The winter intersession program is January 7 – 18, 2008. Applications are now being accepted from certificated
and classified staff from year-round sites interested in winter intersession employment.
Certificated employees must submit an electronic

Join the CSA Board of Directors
The Community Service Association (CSA) is the district employees' charitable organization that provides funding to
nonprofit agencies throughout San Diego County. The CSA Board of Directors has ten members: two administrators,
five certificated and three classified employees. Four Board of Director seats (one administrator and three
certificated) will become vacant December 31, 2007. Current administrators or certificated CSA members interested in

Awards for Combining Technology and Reading
The Presidential Award for Reading
and Technology honors educators in grades K-12 who are making an outstanding and innovative contribution to the
use of technology in reading education. All entrants must be educators who work directly with students ages 5-18
for all or part of the working day. The

$100,000 for College Tuition
The National Vocabulary Championship promotes the value of an enhanced
vocabulary to teens across the country by providing free Princeton Review study resources and holding live game
show-style events that award college-bound students more than $100,000 in money toward tuition. High school students
