Control, not US Bank. To request a new bank account, close a bank account, ask questions about a bank statement and to

Office Depot Online Ordering Refresher Training
All SDUSD employees registered as either Office Depot approvers or requesters should plan to attend a refresher course
on online ordering. Sessions will be held on Thursday, March 15, and Thursday, March 22, from 3 to 4 p.m., in the Ed

Rotary Sponsors Free Exchange Trip to India
Rotary International is sponsoring a one month free exchange trip to Southern India for local teachers. The Program, known
as Group Study Exchange (GSE), provides a unique learning experience that connects teachers and educators to one another in
various parts of the globe. All major costs are borne by Rotary. Rotarians, spouse of Rotarians and their children are not

San Diego’s 50 Best Moms Essay Contest
Time Warner Cable is looking for San Diego’s 50 Best Moms. Students in grades 4 -12 are eligible to enter the
essay contest
and tell “What makes your mom the best?” in 150 to 500 words. The three students who write the best essay in
the elementary, middle and high school divisions will win a Sony VAIO laptop computer. The 50 Best Moms
and three guests will be invited to a celebration on Saturday, May 12. The deadline to submit an
entry form

Cal-SOAP Scholarships
The California Student Opportunity and Access Program (Cal-SOAP) has announced the
Rewarding College Dreams Scholarship Program.
This scholarship is available to high school seniors who meet the eligibility requirements. There are two
award categories: 103 community college scholarships of $1,000 and 87 university scholarships of $2,000.

Instrumental and Choral Honor Concerts
The public is invited to attend the upcoming school honor concerts:
The SDUSD Secondary Instrumental Honor Concert, featuring middle school
honor band, secondary honor orchestra and high school honor band, will be held Sunday, February 25, at 3 p.m., at Copley
Symphony Hall in Downtown San Diego.
The SDUSD Elementary Instrumental Honor Concert will be held Tuesday,
March 6, at 7 p.m., at Brown Chapel, Point Loma Nazarene University.
The City/County Choral Honor Concert, featuring elementary, middle and
secondary school students from throughout the County, will be held Saturday, March 24, at 7 p.m., at Brown Chapel, Point Loma
Nazarene University.
There is no charge for admission to the Instrumental Honor Concerts. Tickets for the Choral Honor Concert are $2. For information, contact the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Department at (858) 539-5349.
