On June 4, 2002, the Board of Education will be hosting a retirement reception to honor all employees whose retirement effective date under the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) or the State Teachers' Retirement System (STRS) is between July 1, 2001, and June 30, 2002, inclusively. There will be a reception from 3 - 4 p.m. in the lawn area adjacent to the auditorium at the Eugene Brucker Education Center. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided. At 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium, the Superintendent of Public Education and the Board of Education will present a plaque to each retiree.

Employees who will be retiring by June 30, 2002, but have not submitted a retirement notice to the district should contact the Benefits Unit of the Employee Services Department at (619) 725-8135 for information.

Attendance at the retirement reception is voluntary, and employees who wish to attend must make arrangements with their supervisors if release time is needed.
