Brief Explanation:

Stock items that are on backorder status on the district stock on-line ordering system remain on the system as open orders. On Friday, May 24, 2002, you will receive a printout listing all items on open order for your cost center. You have two options:

  1. Cancel the item(s) by using the stock on-line ordering system or by telephoning the Stock Order Desk at (858) 496-8025 by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2002.

  2. Have the value of your backorders rebudgeted into fiscal year 2002-2003. There must be sufficient balances from the 2001-2002 fiscal year to cover the cost. The Stock Order Section will notify the Budget Department concerning the value of the backorders.

All orders subject to year-end special funding criteria should check availability of stock prior to entering any orders using the stock on-line ordering system.
