We are pleased to announce that in preparation for the new school year, the Professional Development Unit will offer a Back-to-School Conference on August 22 and 23 at the Marina Village Conference Center, 1936 Quivira Way. The purpose of the conference is to provide technical, operational and informational support to prepare employees for a successful school year. Updates on changes in policies, procedures and expectations will be provided. The target audience is school site office support staff. Please note the conference will be held the end of August in order to minimize disruption at sites during the preparatory activities for starting school, as well as to encourage good participation. The Schoolhouse Rocks theme with 1950's words, music and decorations will be used throughout the conference. Workshop details are shown in Attachment One. Registration: Registration for the conference will take place from May 8, 2002, to May 23, 2002.
