Brief Explanation:

On May 22, 2001, the Board formally approved a delivery system to provide health/life skills instruction in Grades 9-12. The following required health/life skills instruction will be implemented in Grades 9-12 beginning school year 2001-2002. Completion of the instruction partially fulfills state mandates and Coordinated Compliance Review requirements. Principals (sites) will continue to identify teachers of existing courses to teach the required instruction.

**Coordinated Compliance Review (CCR) requires that an LEA provide a minimum 6 hours (per grade) of age appropriate, developmentally based education programs for all students, preschool through Grade 12 on prevention of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and of violence. This includes the instruction listed above plus supplementary school activities which meet requirements.
