On June 12, 2001, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., the Board of Education will be hosting a retirement reception to honor all employees whose retirement effective date under the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) or the State Teachers' Retirement System (STRS) is between July 1, 2000, and June 30, 2001, inclusively. The reception will begin with a brief ceremony in the Eugene Brucker Education Center Auditorium and then adjourn to the adjacent lawn area where refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Employees who will be retiring by June 30, 2001, but have not submitted a retirement notice to the district should contact the Benefits Unit of the Employee Services Department at (619) 725-8135 for information. Attendance at the retirement reception is voluntary, and employees who wish to attend must make arrangements with their supervisors if release time is needed. |
