Brief Explanation:

The San Diego County Office of Education will again host the Fiesta Educativa Special Education Parent Conference at the San Diego County Office of Education on April 28, 2001.

This year’s conference, "Families United in Action Towards a Better Future," will focus on support for home, school, and community connections in a changing and diverse society.

The workshops include:

  • Sharing similar situations

  • Self-Advocacy

  • Autism

  • Transition/Work Support

  • Recognizing the Strength of the Role of Fathers

  • IEP Rights/Responsibilities

  • Social Security

  • Self-Determination
