Action Requested: Post for a minimum of ten (10) workdays. Distribute copies of circular to Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and Community Advisory Committee (CAC) chairpersons at the site

Brief Explanation:

On September 26, 2000, the district’s initial proposal for negotiations with the California School Employees Association (CSEA), for the Operations-Support Services bargaining unit was presented to the Board of Education. The district's proposal is in response to CSEA's demand to bargain the impacts and effects of the implementation of the "Blueprint for Student Success."

Provisions of the California Government Code require that school districts and employee organizations publicly notice proposals before commencing negotiations under the collective bargaining statutes. In accordance with the California School Employees Association’s request, the District hereby agrees to bargain the impacts and effects of the implementation of the "Blueprint for Student Success."

Please post the proposal at your site in a place conveniently accessible for viewing by interested members of the public, students, and staff during regular business hours, as required by Education Code and district regulations.

This proposal has been posted on the Board of Education bulletin board on the first floor of the Eugene Brucker Education Center for public viewing during regular business hours. Copies have also been distributed to the San Diego Unified Parent Teacher Association Council and to all branches of the San Diego City Library system.
