School-to-Career, in collaboration with Counseling and Guidance Departments, have jointly planned our annual conference for secondary grade-level counselor, head counselors, career technicians and employer outreach specialists on:

 The purpose this year is to provide counselors with information on the relationship between School-to-Career and the Blueprint for Student Success, the new National Counseling Standards, community college credits for high school courses, comprehensive site guidance planning and future plans for counseling and guidance in the district. We strongly encourage you to make this a required activity. Last year counselors gave this conference very high ratings.

Please complete the attached response form listing who will attend each day, and fax to School-to-Career, (858) 496-8129 by October 11. We are requesting that you send half your counselors one day and the other half the next day. If you have any questions, contact Susan Avelar at (858) 496-1842.
