San Diego Adolescent Pregnancy and Parenting Program

The San Diego Adolescent Pregnancy and Parenting Program (SANDAPP) has operated under the umbrella of San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) since 1985 and is

now a part of the Intervention Services Department. SANDAPP serves pregnant and parenting teens throughout the county of San Diego by providing case management services to adolescent parents as well as their families. The program goal is to improve educational, health, psychosocial, nutritional and vocational outcomes in order to assist the adolescent parent to graduate from high school in order to achieve self-sufficiency.

Caseworkers are located at several school sites in SDUSD. In addition, there are caseworkers located at Garfield, Lincoln, Y.O.U. and Twain (Main) school sites. Referrals are accepted from counselors, teachers, nurses and parents as well as community agencies. Visit our web site @ www.sandi.net/SANDAPP.
