Brief Explanation: |

|
Section 45103 of the Education Code allows school districts to hire employees hourly in very limited situations. This code specifies that part-time playground positions can be employed hourly regardless of length of employment and are not part of the classified service. The district's classification title that is equivalent to a part-time playground position is Noon Duty Assistant, which supervises students during breakfast and lunch periods. The employee database in payroll regarding noon duty assignments needs to be corrected. Under separate cover, Human Resource Service Division will mail to sites that employee Noon Duty Assistants, a report listing employees who according to the payroll database have noon duty assignments. Respondents are to follow the instructions on the reports and return them with the corrected information to Human Resource Services Division, Payroll Department, Eugene Brucker Education Center, Room 1150 by Monday, December 4, 2000. employment of Noon Duty Assistants, please contact:
