Brief Explanation:

In April 2000, administrative circulars were distributed to middle level, atypical, and senior high schools that provided information and directions for ordering newly adopted instructional materials for the 2000-2001 school year. The circulars indicated that a budget reconciliation would take place, comparing course enrollments with the number of instructional materials issued to each site. The reconciliation will be based on enrollments as of the district’s official enrollment date of September 29, 2000.

A copy of this circular, with the following site-specific attachments, has been sent to the site librarian:

  • A copy of the Class Size Analysis update as of September 29, 2000.
  • The "2000-2001 Instructional Materials Reconciliation Form" that presents the number of newly adopted secondary instructional materials issued to each site, and the course enrollments as shown on the Class Size Analysis update of September 29, 2000.
  • Directions for completing the "2000-2001 Instructional Materials Reconciliation Form."

Please review the information on the 2000-2001 form and determine how payment will be made for the excess instructional materials issued to the site. Payment may be made in two ways (individually or in combination):

  1. Return unstamped, unused instructional materials for credit to the IMC; or,
  2. Pay for the instructional materials from site budgets.

If additional instructional materials are due to the site, schools may:

  1. Request the additional instructional materials to be issued; or,
  2. Request credit for the additional instructional materials. (There is a limit to the number of instructional materials that may be credited. Each site may only take credit up to the number of books it is entitled to under the extra allocation formula.)

Please complete, by November 3, the "2000-2001 Instructional Materials Reconciliation Form" following the directions provided. Return the completed form to Dana Perrin, Instructional Materials Services, IMC, Room 102.
