The district will be hosting an Attendance Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 31, 2001, from

2 to 4 p.m., at Sea World Pavilion. The ceremony is to honor those students who have perfect attendance and those who have markedly improved their attendance (September 5, 2000, through April 6, 2001). You are invited to select two students (one from each category) to represent your site. You or your designee should accompany the students. Due to limited seating, each student may invite only one parent. Participants will receive T-shirts and certificates, and all students at your site with perfect attendance will receive certificates. The cut-off date for submission of your site's two representatives and other perfect attendees is April 27, 2001. (Attachment 1)

Following the ceremony, Sea World has invited the participants to visit the aquariums and exhibits until 6 p.m.; however, those wishing to take advantage of this opportunity must avoid any general park shows, e.g., Shamu.
