Attached
is a form for designating your site 504 coordinator. Please complete the
form by September 8, 2000, and return to Sally Tucker, 2351 Cardinal Lane,
Annex B.
At the elementary level, site 504 coordinators will generally be the chair of the Student Study Team. At the secondary level, site 504 coordinators will generally be the head counselor. For purposes of coordinating services, it is required that the site 504 coordinator serve on your school's Student Study Team. Districtwide inservices will be held for site administrators and site 504 coordinators needing more information on the 504 process. Copies of Section 504 handbooks ("Section 504/ISP Guideline for Educators"; "Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Teacher Handbook"; "Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Parent Handbook"; or "Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973" brochure) will be available at all required training sessions. Central office assistance with individual site needs related to Section
504 will be available throughout the year. Please call Sally Tucker at
