Each elementary school has an opportunity to name two certificated teachers or library media teachers to serve as reviewers of library books for the 2000-2001 school year. Each school is asked to name one reviewer for Grades K-2 and one for Grades 3-6. By participating in this project, reviewers add cataloged books to their site libraries at no charge to the schools. Designated reviewers will receive instructions on the review process with emphasis on state legal compliance and curriculum support. Returning reviewers who have already received this information are not required to attend this meeting although they are welcome to come and pick up their new packets. Each new reviewer will be required to attend one of the book review informational meetings scheduled on the following dates: Wednesday, September 20, 2000; Thursday, September 21, 2000; or Tuesday, September 26, 2000. All sessions will be held from 3:45 – 5:00 p.m. in Room 1 at the Instructional Media Center. Please complete the attached form and
return it to Barbara Baron, curriculum resource librarian, Instructional
Media Center, Room 104, by September 18, 2000. |
