Foundation News:
Family Donations
– Thank you to all our families who supported the SRHS
Foundation’s 2007/2008 Family Donations Drive. $38,162.93 was raised this year
with approximately 12% of families participating. The money will go towards
updating technology at our school with the purchase of document cameras, LCD
projectors and laptops for the classroom. Unfortunately, we did not reach our
goal of $40,000, so we did not have a drawing for a Nintendo Wii Game Console.
Also, thanks to those families who participated in their employer’s gift
matching program. This year, we received corporate match donations from
Qualcomm, Pfizer, Northrop Grumman, Union Banc Insurance Service, Merrill
Marketing Communications, Sempra/SDG&E, Wachovia, Copley Foundation/ Union
Tribune and Merrill Lynch. Thank you again and we look forward to your continued
support! REMEMBER, ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO GIVE, USE THIS FORM

Volunteers – Actively recruiting new volunteers and Board members.
You can make a difference at SRHS and your student's life. We have several
members "graduating" this year, and there are many areas where you can add
value: website content, SRCA newsletter content, grants, Chair, Vice Chair,
Legs committee. Attend our monthly meetings, always held on Mondays at 7PM
in the SRHS Faculty Lounge (off of the main office): Nov 26, Dec. 17, Jan.
28, Feb. 25, March 24, April 21, May 19. We will be having midyear Board
elections after the New Year.
Site Council – Congratulations to the following parents who were
elected to participate on the SRHS School Governance Site Council: Marla
O'Connell, chair, Chris Grint, Christina Koohmarey and alternative, Seshu
Hammond.
Thank you! - To the community and the faculty & staff for supporting
the 9th Annual CUSH Legs for Literacy event. Through your efforts, more than
$19,000 was raised to buy books for each of the six Scripps Ranch public
schools.
SRHS
Foundation Mission Statement
Our mission
is to enhance the total education experience at Scripps Ranch High School, A
California Distinguished School and a National Blue Ribbon School of
Excellence. We provide ongoing financial support for academic, athletic, and
extra-curricular programs, and facility needs, where funds are not otherwise
available. We also provide volunteer assistance to augment the service
available to teachers, staff, students, and parents. SRHS Foundation
gratefully acknowledged the following donors who so generously donated fund
in the 2005-06. Through their generosity this school year, we funded more
than $60,000 in projects, provided $3,500.00 in college scholarships and
invested nearly $20,000 in our endowment.
