How do I register a new student?
You must personally come into the Counseling office at Scripps Ranch High to obtain a registration packet. Return the completed packet with 2 original documents proving residency. (For example: a utility bill, bank statement, escrow papers, or a rental agreement.)  Your student will also need an unofficial copy of his/her transcript and withdrawal grades from the previous school.  Proof of immunization is also required before your student can be registered in school.

My student is having a conflict in class with another student or the teacher or is questioning his/her grade in class. What do I do?
It is best to contact the classroom teacher directly first. If this does not resolve the problem, contact your student’s counselor and conference can be arranged to explore the matter further.

If my student is ill, how do I get the missed homework?
When a student is absent from school and needs to obtain assignments, parents should first try to contact the classroom teacher directly. If this is unsuccessful they can call (858) 621-9020 x1134 and ask for assistance.

How does a student contact his/her counselor?
Students can stop by the Counseling office before school, during lunch or after school to speak with their counselor. They may also complete a “request to see your counselor” form and they will be called in (usually within a day or two).

If I am behind in credits, how can I catch up?
Contact your counselor for suggestions, such as Extended Day make-up classes, Summer School sessions and HSDP classes

How does a student get a copy of his/her transcript?
To get an official transcript, contact the Registrar's office.

Current Students:  You will need to put your request in writing (use the provided forms) and you must pay a $1.00 fee for each copy, a fee starts after the third request.  If the transcript is to be mailed by the Registrar, a stamped, self addressed envelope needs also to be provided. Transcripts may not be readily available.  Allow time for this service to be completed.

Graduated Students: For the past graduates, the fee is $2.00.  You should include a stamped, addressed envelope, to where they would like the transcript returned.  If you need to come in and request a transcript, or you are sending third party, send a written request stating the person's name and that they have your permission to do so.  The time for walk ins is 1:00 pm, no exception.
