Baseball's Boosters Club With the opening of Scripps Ranch High School in the fall of 1993, and the selection of the first SRHS Baseball Team, which competed in the spring season of 1994, several interested parents created the Scripps Ranch High School Baseball Booster Club. The SRHSBBC was officially incorporated with the State of California as a non-profit organization on December 3, 2003. The goal of the BBC is to support all baseball activities year-round for students at the high school, which includes a spring program, summer and winter league play. The primary focus for the BBC is to raise money and donate time and materials to meet this goal. BBC annual fundraising events are planned to involve the greater Scripps Ranch Community: Golf Tournament and Auction, SR Old Pros ball game, SRLL baseball clinics, and the BBC membership drive to name a few. The BBC membership is open to all families who have a student in the program. Associate membership is open to those who wish to help out, but do not have a student in the program. The main governing body of the BBC is the Board of Directors, which consists of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary, who are elected annually. They work closely with the coaching staff to help create a schedule of events that will raise funds to support the baseball program. The BBC Board of Directors, along with the dedicated members volunteer their time to help conduct the events. The BBC has regular monthly meetings, except for July and August; the BBC meets the last Monday of each month in the High School Staff lounge, usually at 7pm. Please contact Ralph Stewart to find out more about the agenda, time and location for an upcoming BBC meeting, or to find out how you can help the SRHS baseball program and fundraising activities at rstewar1@san.rr.com
