Classroom Rules for Ms. Forest’s Class 2006-2007
The students will come to class:
-
on time.
-
prepared with a 3 ring binder, paper, sharpened pencil, pen, and any
other items necessary for class including the required book(s).
-
with cell phones and other electronic devices turned off and put
away.
-
with a willingness to learn.
The students will show respect by:
-
entering the room in a calm and orderly manner.
-
being in their seats and ready to work when the bell rings.
-
following directions promptly.
-
staying in their seat unless given permission by the teacher.
-
not interrupting others when they are speaking.
-
raising a hand and waiting to be called upon before speaking.
-
depositing trash in the trashcan or recycling can.
-
not eating, drinking, or chewing gum.
-
turning in all work on time.
-
turning in all work neatly and with a proper heading. All out of
class papers, essays, and stories must be typed, double-spaced in a
serif font.
-
being honest and doing their own work. Plagiarism is grounds for a
zero or ‘F’ grade.
-
NOT borrowing or taking other students’ items or the teacher’s
without permission
returning borrowed things promptly.
-
keeping materials neat and clean and taking care of school textbooks
and library books.
-
keeping the room clean. No stuffing papers or other items in the
desks. No writing on desks or chairs.
-
allowing others to voice their opinions or ask/answer questions
without interruption or condemnation.
-
speaking with the teacher about personal concerns outside of the
regular instructional time.
-
cleaning up around your desk and work area before leaving.
waiting to be dismissed.
-
pushing in chairs when leaving the room.
-
leaving the room in an orderly and quiet way.
I, Ms. Susan Forest-Rode, agree to respect all students’ opinions and
answers if they follow the above rules. I reserve the right to change a
student’s seat, keep a student for detention, consult the child’s
counselor or parent, and/or write a referral when and if I feel it is
necessary to do so. I promise to keep students informed of their grade
status on a regular basis.
If we all work together, teacher, students, parents; this will be a
fantastic year of growth, wisdom, and maturity. I look forward to
working with the class of 2010 as they begin an exciting journey in
their lives.
