| Tdap Information In… |
Parents, guardians and employees are reminded that California law requires that students entering grades 7-12 must be immunized with a pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine booster called Tdap.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to schedule their child’s immunization appointment as soon as possible. It may take more than a month to get an appointment. Personal healthcare providers, some local pharmacies and Community Health Centers offer vaccines. For a schedule of immunization clinics in San Diego County, visit www.sdiz.org.
The California Department of Public Health's website, Shots for School, provides extensive immunization information in both English and Spanish. Visit http://www.shotsforschool.org/.
