College: Making it Happen presentation in library for middle school students

The road to college starts at SD SCPA: The road to college is an exciting adventure, with many twist and turns. Attend this middle School parent-student workshop and we will help you build a map of requirements, resources, and guidelines.

Subjects to be discussed:

*The parent role; College preparatory courses; High School graduation requirements; College entrance preparation; California university requirements; Financial aid planning/opportunities; Resources and support

Join us we will provide light refreshments and an informal presentation. Learn how to make college happen for your student.

In 1956 Medgar Evers and Emmett Till were brutally murdered in separate crimes against the black race. One of the world's greatest writers, James Baldwin, wrote a play about it. Current events remind us that race is still a divisive issue.
