The Hour of Code is a one-hour coding activity during which students choose from self-guided tutorials that work on browsers, smartphones, tablets, or even work without computers at all. Hoover students will be tutoring students at Wilson, Clark and Rosa Parks this year during Hour of Code week 12/8/2014.

This year marks the eighth anniversary of the One Book, One San Diego program, our county-wide reading campaign, with Monstress, a superb book by a San Diego’s own, Lysley Tenorio. His stories have appeared in The Atlantic, Zoetrope: All-Story, Ploughshares, Manoa, and The Best New American Voices and Pushcart Prize anthologies.
