Why not bring your whole family and take a tour of our campus. Principal Courtney Rizzo would be honored to meet you and your family and tell you about the exciting programs we have to offer! Safety and high academic achievement are our first priorities. Teachers and staff provide a family atmosphere where everyone belongs and individual strengths are challenged.

Here is this week's Sunday Update:
This is Jamey Jaramillo with this week's Sunday Update.  Mrs. Rizzo will be taking one more week to recover from her recent illness.  Mr. Baird will continue to support us.  Students will receive their first semester report card this Wednesday.  We are excited to kick off the second semester with a focus on positive behavior and academic excellence. We will start the week by having the counselor, Mrs. Schad, and the AVID Coordinator, Ms. Rankin work with our 8th grade students to design a 4 year plan for high school.  We would also like to emphasize the importance of good behavior for all our Farb students.  Second semester is a chance to have a fresh start and raise the bar for what we can achieve.    We expect all students and staff to be engaged and attentive to teaching and learning at all times.
Last week, there was an incident at the Murphy Canyon Rec Center involving Farb students and a non-Farb parent.  The parent was upset with some Farb students and began yelling and taking video. School police and SDPD were contacted immediately to ensure student safety.  The issue was attended to by school personnel as well. Please be aware that Farb Middle School holds all students accountable for their behavior on the way to and from school.  If students stop at an off campus location, the school is not liable.    Our gates open at 8:30am and we do have a free Primetime Program that runs from 6:00am to 6:00pm. All our students are eligible to participate in this great program.  Please contact the school office for further information.  Student safety is always our number one concern.
Finally, this week is spirit week.  Monday is Rock Star Day. Wear your favorite band gear.  Tuesday is Crazy Hair Day.  Wednesday is Pajama Day. And Thursday is Red and Pink day.  Friday, February 13th and Monday February 16th are school holidays. Thank you and let's have a great four day week.

     Thank you!
