Kimberly Meng grew up in Orange County and moved to San Diego more than 20 years ago to attend the University of California, San Diego. She graduated in 1995 with a degree in Structural Engineering but knew that it was not her calling. She put engineering experience to use and became a secondary math teacher – finding it incredibly rewarding. Mrs. Meng transitioned out of the classroom to an administrative position helping math teachers improve their craft in schools and at the University of San Diego. She served as principal at Rolando Park elementary, vice principal at Taft, Clark, and de Portola middle schools.
