Teacher Giving Tree

by
What is the Teacher Giving Tree? It is an opportunity for friends, family and the general public to help faculty at SD SCPA obtain funds to purchase specific books, manipulatives, equipment and supplies needed to teach and enrich the learning of their students. For the past two years, Friends of SCPA has provided the faculty a “Top Hat” shaped ornament to request specific classroom items currently not provided by the school budget. The “Top Hats” are collected and displayed on a tree at our Holiday Family Day Event and posted on our website to share. Monetary donations are received for specific items which in turn are purchased and delivered to the respective teacher. Participation is voluntary.

Would you like to help a teacher? It’s easy as 1- 2-3! Visit the school website www.sandi.net/scpa to view the spreadsheet organized by department first and teacher second (see document below). Step 1: Locate an item you would like to purchase and print the page. Step 2: Write a check for the donated amount made payable to Friends of SCPA. Step 3: Attach the check to the print out and send to “Friends of SCPA”, Teacher Giving Tree, 2425 Dusk Drive, SD, CA .

Remember: Friends of SCPA is a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization. Donations to this organization are tax deductible.

Would your business or company like to host the Teacher Giving Tree at your location during the months of November and December of 2012? We provide an artificial tree decorated with the “Top Hat” ornaments for your employees and/or departments to view and help a teacher. Contact the school (619-470-0555) directly to reserve your week now. Make a difference in a teacher’s as well as a student’s life! It is never too late. Support SDSCPA.
