The San Diego Lantern Festival 2012 is a one‐of‐a‐kind event in San Diego that features a display of 6,000 lanterns. It brings together neighbors, businesses, students and community groups for a safe, fun, and cultural experience.  Each year, the Lantern Festival has an average of 15,000 – 20,000 attendees from all walks of life. The San Diego Lantern Festival is a perfect mix of great food, vendors, over 12 large carnival rides and games.

This year, the Lantern Festival will feature the 2nd Annual MISS ASIA SAN DIEGO PAGEANT™ as well as a fantastic line up of cultural entertainment, lion dances, street performers, and a breathtaking display of (6,000) lanterns in the evening.The Festival takes place in a BIG, double‐street‐front parking lot on El Cajon Blvd in the "Little Saigon San Diego Commercial and Cultural District" at Hoover High School.
