Sessions and PB Middle IB Students Deliver International Baccalaureate Exam Survival Kits to 270+ IB Students at MB High
Spearheaded by San Diego High School of International Studies parent Michele Linback, and designed by Sessions Elementary IB and PB Middle IB students, IB Exam Survival Kits were delivered over 270 Mission Bay High IB students on June 31. Sessions designed beautifully decorated origami and donated sweets, while PB Middle students wrote inspirational quotes and haikus and donated erasers and sticky notes for a bag for each of the students taking the rigorous IB exams starting on May 3rd.
"What most people don't know is that IB students take the same exams worldwide on the same date. It's exciting to be part of international eand to see our students thinking ahead for the day when they'll sit their own IB exams," shared Dr. Julie Martel, Principal at the IB middle school. "Last week we had two cluster-wide events, a beach clean-up sponsored by the Walk to the Park Club at Sessions and PB Middle Campagna family, we also organized a cluster-wide fundraiser at Toni Roma's with participating schools sharing their exciting programs with interested beach area families. The culmination on an IB focus on service in all programs was this IB Exam Survival Kit three school service project that brought together IB students from all three levels in our IB Continuum and even from San Diego High," excitedly shared Sue DeVicariis from Sessions Elementary.
