Madison and Lincoln high schools have won varsity football championships in their conferences this year and Superintendent Bill Kowba wants to congratulate not only the champions at those schools, but all students who participated in athletics this fall.
"For many students, high school athletics is a big part of growing up," said Kowba. "I salute all those that competed this year, win or lose. You all gained valuable life experiences and learned the importance of teamwork, exercise and good nutrition."
In football, Lincoln topped Ramona for the Division III championship, while Madison topped St. Augustine to win Division IV.
