The Finance Division, in alignment with the district mission and goals, works to enhance and foster the institutional effectiveness of the San Diego Unified School District. In 2009-10, the division carried out its fiscal duties and responsibilities by managing the district's $2.2 billion budget and finances, and overseeing essential support services.

These departments manage all aspects of district financial operations including general accounting, fiscal control, accounts payable, budget development, position control, payroll and grant coordination. The Finance Division develops information and recommends policies and procedures for strategic short-term and long-term financial management and planning.
The Finance Division vision is to offer "High Tech/High Touch" financial services to our partners to help ensure the efficient use of district resources.
