. On Thursday, May 23rd we will be having our spring Open House and Student-led conferences from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Dinner will be available for purchase from 5:00 to 6:00 pm we will have two food trucks Chip’s Beach Eats, Diego Dog and for dessert Kona Ice will be selling shaved ice. In addition, we will have tile painting available for $8. If you have not preordered the tiles, we will have some extras available at the event. Classrooms will be open between 6:00 and 7:00 pm.

Back by popular demand, Sessions Talent Show returns for a second year! Please look carefully at the Talent Show rules and required dates of attendance before signing and returning the attached registration form. Dress Rehearsal is on Thursday, May 23rd right after school. School assemblies are on Wednesday, May 29th. The Main Performances has changed to 6 pm Thursday, May 30th. It’s time for a Spring Student Art Exhibit! Now that the kids have wrapped up their Monart session studying pieces by George Rodrigue, Picasso, Klimt, Van Gogh, Rene Magritte, and Matisse, we’d like you to come see the beautiful work they’ve created. 5th Graders are putting on an amazing play. Come out and see those 5th graders shine on Tuesday, June 4th. Play performance: Girls need to arrive for the evening performance 6:15 for makeup and costumes. Girls report to room 15. Boys arrive at 6:30 and go to Room 11. Please refer to the prior e-mails regarding clothing required under the costumes. Girls may come to school with eye makeup already done.
We are getting into the warmer climate which means that students are wearing cooler clothing. Please do not send students to school with spaghetti strap tops or dresses, narrow tank top shoulders or in sandals. The sun hits the blacktop on the playground and it bounces back to cause significant burns. In addition, sandals are not safe shoes for playing games and being on the equipment. We appreciate your support in keeping your child safe on our playground.
For planning purposes, we need each family to fill out a returning enrollment slip for the 2013/2014 school year. Please, let us know your intentions regarding enrollment, as this information helps us determine teacher assignments, school allocations, and how many students we can accept from the CHOICE list. As you know, school boundaries have increased due to the closure of Bayview Terrace Elementary School. Your information will help us plan and prepare for your children. Complete the enrollment form and return it to your classroom teacher or the office. Click HERE to print a copy or the School office has extra forms if you are unable to print the form at home. Having already filled on Transitional-K classroom, registration is now open for a second one. If you have not registered or know someone who did not get into the first class, please let them know that we will be opening a second class for those students who meet the age criteria.
