Jim Achenbach is named Sequoia's Volunteer of the Year!
Mr. Achenbach is the liaison with our community partner, S.W. Hackett Lodge, which has supported our students and community for over 10 years. He provides a holiday meal for our struggling families every Christmas. The Lodge hand delivers a hot meal with presents to pass out to the children. He also sponsors our Spelling Bee by giving cash prizes ($75, $50 and $25 dollars) to the top 3 winners for each grade level. Futhermore, the entire Hackett Lodge membership brings their family to support the Spelling Bee contestants. Finally, he hosts a dinner event for our teacher of the year in which Hackett Lodge gives our teacher a cash prize. I don't believe there are many community partners like Jim Achenbach that donate so much monetarily and with their time!  Please click on this link to vote for Jim http://www.schoolvolunteeraward.org/
